AVT – Sold to Danaher for USD 100 million

ISRAEL • US manufacturing company Danaher Corp. is buying automatic print inspection systems company Advanced Vision Technology (AVT) for USD 100 million. The company will become part of Danaher’s product identification platform division. AVT’s board of directors has accepted the offer and the acquisition is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2017.

Based in Hod Hasharon, AVT’s automatic optical print inspection systems are designed for the packaging and labels market. Products include X-Rite and Esko, which serve customers that use Danaher’s platform. Washington, DC based Danaher is a global science and technology company with products concentrated in the fields of design, manufacturing, and marketing of industrial and consumer products. It operates in five segments: test & measurement, dental, industrial technologies, environmental, and life science & diagnostics. Danaher runs more than 30 operating companies with 59,000 employees.
