SWITZERLAND • The supplier of equipment and services to label and packaging manufacturers and Radex, a start-up company in the field of DOD inkjet digital printing, are launching a new joint venture, Mouvent, which will become the digital printing competence centre and solutions provider of Bobst. The new company is based in Switzerland and comprises about 80 employees.
During an international press conference on 6 July, Bobst presented the two digital label printing presses Mouvent LB 702-UV (web width: 340 mm/13.4”) and Mouvent 701 LB 701-UV (web width: 170 mm/6.7”). At this year’s Labelexpo Europe Bobst intents the presentation of a label printing presses using water-based inks.
A core element of the Mouvent is the digital printing technology developed by Radex and based on an integrated cluster. Due to its smart and compact design, it is said to be a breakthrough technology for various applications like printing on textile, labels, corrugated board, flexible packaging substrates and folding boxes.
